Murray Cod Australia searches for new CEO

The board of Murray Cod Australia announced that Ross Anderson will cease his role as chief executive officer and executive director, effective Friday 20 February.

To ensure continuity of leadership, Mat Ryan, executive director production and development, and Roger Commins, non-executive director, have been appointed as interim joint chief executive officers. Anderson will assist with an orderly handover of responsibilities.

The company has commenced a search for a suitably qualified chief executive officer and expects to provide an update to the market in due course.

“On behalf of the Board, I would like to thank Ross for his efforts and commitment since co founding Murray Cod Australia. Ross has played an important role in establishing the Company and positioning it for its next phase,” said the company’s chairman Brett Paton.

“I would also like to thank Mat Ryan and Roger Commins who step into the role of Interim Joint CEOs and the Company looks forward to the timely appointment of a new CEO with suitable experience in food distribution to ensure the business is set up for sustainable growth over the long term.”

Murray Cod Australia is a vertically integrated producer of farmed Murray cod based in the Riverina, New South Wales. The company uses proprietary production technology within the species’ natural habitat.
