New Rabobank Australia board member

Rabobank Australia has announced Angelique Meddeler, Rabobank’s global chief compliance officer, has joined its board, effective September 24, 2024.

Meddeler moves into the position vacated by Lara Yocarini, who has stepped down after three years on the board.

Yocarini has taken up a new role as CEO of Rabobank’s global asset finance subsidiary De Lage Landen (DLL) and has been appointed to the Managing Board of Rabobank.

Rabobank Australia chair James Fazzino said Meddeler’s extensive experience in global banking, across a diverse range of roles –coupled with a “strong knowledge of the regulatory landscape” – made her an ideal fit for the role.

Meddeler, who is based in the Netherlands, has 30 years’ experience in global retail and wholesale banking and joined Rabobank in December 2021 in the role of Chief Compliance Officer.

She had previously spent more than 25 years with ING Bank, serving in a wide range of roles including Global FEC/AML, Lead for ING Retail and Wholesale worldwide and Global Head Client Services Wholesale Banking.
