Investment NSW opens subsidies for Fine Food Australia exhibitors

The NSW state government has announced subsidies will be available for food and beverage manufacturers to showcase the best of NSW food and beverages at Fine Food Australia in Melbourne.

Expressions of interest are open for emerging premium food and beverage manufacturers across NSW to showcase their products at Fine Food Australia, a trade event for the food industry, which attracts over 26,000 visitors from more than 60 countries.

Investment NSW deputy secretary Katie Knight said subsidies of $6,000 each are available to support up to 12 NSW businesses to attend the tradeshow and exhibit within the Flavours of NSW zone at the Melbourne Convention and Exhibition Centre on 2-5 September 2024.

“Exhibiting at Fine Food Australia is a great opportunity for up-and-coming food and beverage makers to connect with key players in the industry and take their businesses to the next level,” said Knight.

“Thousands of industry representatives will be in attendance, including suppliers, distributors and retail and hospitality businesses, making this an unrivalled event for manufacturers looking to grow domestically and in new international markets.

The KIND Coffee Co., based in South Murwillumbah, was supported to attend last year’s event and showcase its cold brew coffee products.

Co-founder Jules Gardner said the event was a game-changer for the business, allowing them to significantly expand their operations.

“Fine Food Australia provided a great platform to showcase our canned coffee products. As a result, in the past year we’ve sourced distributors to support our growth all over Australia,” said Gardner.

The Fine Food Australia tradeshow rotates between Sydney and Melbourne each year.

In addition to the subsidy, businesses will attend a pre-event workshop providing expert advice on exhibiting and exporting, as well as domestic and international food and beverage market intel, trends and insights.

“NSW is home to thousands of creative and innovative food and drink businesses. We’re delighted to support our exhibitors at this year’s event and showcase the best of what they have to offer,” said Knight

NSW Government business support experts will also be on hand before, during and after the tradeshow.

Expressions of interest are open until 5pm AEST, Friday 26 April 2024. For eligibility guidelines and how to apply, visit here.
