Australian winemaker De Bortoli Wines is partnering with Victoria Racing Club (VRC) for the Melbourne Cup Carnival.

De Bortoli Wines will be featured in bars and on dining tables across Flemington Racecourse for the next three years. Racegoers and non-race day guests will have the opportunity to try Australian made wines.

“We are incredibly proud to join forces with the Victoria Racing Club in this partnership,” said De Bortoli Wines CEO Darren De Bortoli.

“The Melbourne Cup Carnival is an iconic event steeped in heritage, tradition and celebration, uniting Australians from all walks of life.

“As a family business with deep roots in Australian winemaking, it’s an honour to be part of something so culturally significant.”

With over 34,000 members, the VRC is hosting the Melbourne Cup Carnival which showcases traditional sporting events, fashion, entertainment, hospitality and business.

“De Bortoli Wines is proudly Australian, and while it always respects its proud origins, it isn’t afraid to explore ways to evolve and ensure it keeps delivering a premium product, values which align with the VRC and our focus for Australia’s original major event, the Melbourne Cup Carnival,” said CEO at VRC Kylie Rogers.

The Melbourne Cup Carnival in 2024 attracted more than 285,000 visitors, provided over $1 billion in national expenditure to Cup Week.
