Ocean Nutrition Canada (ONC) has acquired GAT Food Essentials (GAT) Omega-3 microencapsulation-emulsion technology’s customer base, including in Australia and its global marketing and distribution rights.
According to ONC, it will strengthen its position as an Omega-3 EPA/DHA solutions provider to the food, beverage and dietary supplement markets.
ONC’s Omega 3 food applications capabilities and GAT’s microencapsulation-emulsion technology will allow ONC to further expand its range of applications.
“With GAT’s microencapsulation-emulsion technology in the same portfolio as our patented Powder-loc microencapsulation technology platform and product line, our ability to meet customer requirements across a spectrum of food applications and food processing conditions is unmatched in the industry,” Jon Getzinger, ONC chief sales and marketing officer, said.
