Pacific Boiler, a specialist boiler refurbishment and sales organisation, is looking to sell off the “unique” Rolls Royce Industrial Steamer as soon as possible.
Pacific Boiler describes the D Type Watertube steamer, which was built in 2000, as being in excellent condition with a boiler size of 38 m.w.
The machine runs on natural and refinery gas with an output of 60 tonnes per hour at 33 bar and 370°C. It can also supply a back pressure turbo-gen set (3 m.w. elect) and still provide 60 tonne/hr @ 10 bar saturated steam.
The auxiliary equipment which will come with the steamer includes a 20m flue, 50m3 feed tank, blowdown tank and a new Economiser at cost.
Upon purchase, the steamer will be refurbished in Brisbane.
The refurbishment includes new control panels, feedwater pumps, a feedwater modulation valve station, F.D.Fan with VSD, a gas train and O.P.S.O regulator, flame scanner with fuel/ais ratio control and water level controls.
Other refurbishments will include new field wiring, pressure and flow transmitters and TDS controlled blowdown.
The steamer can be offered with its superheated output to drive a back pressure turbo-gen set, or the superheater could be removed for saturated steam up to 36 bar.
As the pressure parts are in such good condition Pacific Boiler will offer a full 12 months on the pressure parts, with the usual condition of water quality maintenance.
A selling price will need to be estimated, pending the specifications of the end user, and the company can also offer a price for installation anywhere in Australia or elsewhere.
