Partnering with beloved Australian brand Maggie Beer Products, Ahrens were appointed to deliver a cool room kitchen with a large freezer, as well as a storage and maintenance workshop, to assist the client with the production of their signature high-quality products.

Ahrens provided the full turnkey project for Maggie Beer Products, from design right through to construction and hand-over. The scope of works included civil works, footings and concrete works, steel fabrication and erection, cladding, all service works, freezer works as well as external car parking and landscaping.
Working with the client from the design stage allowed Ahrens to gain a better understanding of the client’s needs and how to best provide a solution that complemented their existing facilities. This led to Ahrens providing an underfloor freezer design which became a key feature of the project. Ahrens chose a simple air system using PVC pipe with a flow and return line, engineered by building engineer Triaxial, to increase efficiency for the client and provide cost savings in the long run.
