Reportable food registry launch

In September, the United States Food and Drug Administration (FDA) will launch the Reportable Food Registry, a system designed to help the agency manage and contain food-borne illness outbreaks more efficiently.

The Food Facility Registration database and the Reportable Food Registry are designed to work together to enable close collaboration between the FDA and the food industry.

All contact information for the system must be up to date, so the FDA is asking registered facilities to update their information. This can be done by using Form 3537, available online at www.access.fda.gov.
