Roll’d adds new pantry items and broths to its grocery range

Roll'd

Envelop yourself in the soul-warming hug of traditional Vietnamese Phở at home with Roll’d Vietnamese’s expanded pantry and condiments range.

Having rolled out its first line of authentic Vietnamese pantry items and condiments in June 2021, the new Roll’d items will be available from the World Food Asian aisle in Coles supermarkets and Australian Roll’d Vietnamese outlets.

The move marks a strong entry into the Asian food aisle, with Coles data suggesting customer appeal in the Asian (Vietnamese) scratch ingredients category continues to grow year on year (nearly 10 per cent growth in demand for Asian food at Coles). Internal Roll’d data also suggests a prompted 50 per cent increase in brand awareness nationally.

Building on the success of the initial range of bottled sauces, rice paper and Vermicelli noodles, Roll’d Vietnamese is continuing its promise of fast and fresh Vietnam-easy meals this winter with:

  • traditional heat-and-serve Phở broths, Chicken & Beef and Veggie (RRP $6.50 each, 500mL);
  • Phở rice noodles, a no-nasties mix of rice, tapioca starch and water (RRP $5.00, 400g);
  • Sweet Viet Sriracha Sauce (RRP $6.00, 375ml); and
  • Premium Chilli Oil (RRP $8.50, 220g).

Roll’d’s new heat-and-serve soups are ready in just 15 minutes and deliver hearty goodness. Designed to be enjoyed with new Roll’d Phở Noodles, kick-start your steamy soup adventure by placing the noodles in boiling water, giving a gentle stir to loosen and cook for 6-8 minutes until soft.

Paired perfectly with lean beef eye fillet, poached chicken breast or tofu, bring the broth to a boil on the stove, adding vegetables of choice and simmering till heated. Divide cooked Phở noodles into two bowls (or meal prep for tomorrow), top with protein of choice, coriander, spring onion and bean shoots. It’s best served with lemon and for an extra punch, a healthy hit of Roll’d’s Sweet Viet Sriracha Sauce or Premium Chilli Oil.

Following traditional recipes from Mama Hoang’s kitchen, Roll’d Phở is packed with antioxidant rich spices cinnamon, cardamon and cloves, paired with ginger and shallots to create aromatic broths packed with medicinal properties to assist digestive health and anti-inflammation.

Roll’d Vietnamese nutrition ambassador and nutritionist, Sarah Leung, said hydration through winter is especially important as a source of fuel and for maintaining a healthy glow from within.

“As the cooler weather rolls in, everyone begins thinking of soul-warming foods and Vietnamese Phở springs to mind,” she said. “Besides the warmth, Phở offers a range of health benefits that’ll aid digestion, skin hydration and overall provides healthy antioxidants to the body.”

Delivering a fresh punchy hit of chilli, the new Roll’d condiments are must-have additions to the pantry arsenal this winter. Warm your soul through and through with Roll’d Sweet Viet Sriracha Sauce.

Delivering a spicy twist on a family favourite, Roll’d Sweet Viet Sriracha is inspired by the fruity hearty of Sriracha chilli. Should you seek a roaring fire in the belly, Roll’d Vietnamese new Premium Chilli Oil is assured to dust off the cobwebs and deliver the zingy and zesty flavours of Vietnam’s vibrant soul.

Committed to sharing Vietnamese street eats, culture, tradition and legacy, Roll’d Vietnamese is proud to encourage customers an opportunity to further expand their knowledge within their very own homes. A ticket to the bustling streets of Ho Chi Min and vibrant Hanoi, Roll’d Vietnamese’s new pantry staples and broths invite Australians to further expand their repertoire and create their own Roll’d creations.

“In the past 12 months, the Roll’d Vietnamese FMCG total range has generated over $3 million RSV (retail sales value), instrumental to business growth and revenue security for our franchisees,” Roll’d Vietnamese founder and CEO Bao Hoang said.

“The expansion of Roll’d’s FMCG range marks a monumental milestone for our first steps into grocery channels; especially as the customer appeal in the Asian (Vietnamese) scratch ingredients category continues to grow year on year.”
