Santa Margherita celebrates 70 years of sparkling excellence

Italian wine producer Santa Margherita marks 70 years of crafting its best-selling and flagship Prosecco Superiore, which has spurred a revolution in taste and wine drinking globally, including in Australia.

To celebrate the 70th anniversary of Santa Margherita Prosecco Superiore, Santa Margherita has announced that it is the official Gold Partner of the 2022 ST. ALi Italian Film Festival, taking place across Australia from September 13th to October 16th.

Santa Margherita has contributed to the development of Italian winemaking by revolutionising both national and international markets with its Prosecco, which today has a presence in over 90 countries around the world.

Locally, Santa Margherita Prosecco Superiore is one of the leading imported Proseccos in Australia.

Hailing from the hills of Conegliano Valdobbiadene in Italy, Santa Margherita was one of the pioneers in producing sparkling wine from Glera grapes in the 1950s. These early efforts not only established a benchmark of quality and provenance but inspired this winemaking method long before the ‘Prosecco phenomenon’.

Santa Margherita’s Prosecco is vibrant, aromatic and fresh with fine, lively bubbles with a flavour profile of peaches and delicate florals, complemented with flavours of rennet apples and fruity hints of pineapples on the palate.
