Sargents Charitable Foundation gives children’s cancer ward a new-look

The Haematology and Oncology Ward at Sydney Children’s Hospital, Randwick has undergone a facelift and upgrade of facilities thanks to Australian pie company, Sargents, through their Charitable Foundation.

Sargents Charitable Foundation is a supporter of the Hospital and has pledged $2 million over two years.

Sargents’ donation has helped re-paint the Ward, replaced the flooring, refurbished parent and carer facilities including the kitchen and updated the isolation rooms in which children undergo lengthy stays during bone marrow transplants.

The Sargents Charitable Foundation has also supported the purchase of medical equipment for many departments including Urology, Intensive Care, Anesthetics and Surgery.

“We are very grateful for the generosity of the Sargents Charitable Foundation who made these essential upgrades to our Haematology and Oncology Ward and the purchase of lifesaving equipment possible,” said Adam Check, CEO of Sydney Children’s Hospital Foundation.
