Second course of events released for The Curated Plate 2025

More than 60 events have now been announced for The Curated Plate 2025, expanding the Sunshine Coast’s annual food festival into what organisers say will be its most extensive program to date.

The festival, which runs from 25 July to 3 August, will include a mix of long table lunches, food markets, farm-to-table experiences, and regional dining events across the coast and hinterland. This second release follows a smaller preview of the program last month, with early tickets reportedly selling out quickly.

New events include a culinary cruise through Mooloolaba, a brunch focused on the role of bees in agriculture, and a night-time First Nations cultural experience. Visitors can also tour Queensland’s first single estate sugarcane distillery, Canefields, and attend events at venues spanning from Maleny to Twin Waters and the Glass House Mountains.

Sunshine Coast Mayor Rosanna Natoli said the festival showcases the region’s producers and culinary strengths.

“The Curated Plate highlights the Sunshine Coast’s food and agritourism industries, and offers a chance to experience our local produce and hospitality,” she said.

Culinary Director Peter Kuruvita said the emphasis this year is on regional ingredients and locally based chefs, with dishes drawing from South East Asian, Mediterranean, modern Australian and native bushfood cuisines. Featured ingredients include Woombye Cheese, Maleny Buffalo, Noosa-grown greens and Sunshine Coast seafood.

In addition to high-end dining, the program includes community events at Kings Beach Amphitheatre, Birtinya, Mooloolaba and Eumundi.

Tickets are available at thecuratedplate.com.au, and organisers recommend booking early and checking Visit Sunshine Coast for accommodation and travel offers.
