Carl’s Jr. expands operations in Queensland with West Ipswich launch

Carl’s Jr. is continuing to expand into Queensland with the opening of a third drive-thru restaurant in 2018.

The fast-food chain also plans to open a further three before Christmas.

More than 15,000 people were served during opening week at Carl’s Jr. Pimpama in July, and it’s expected West Ipswich residents will welcome the opening of the new store on the 29th of August.

West Ipswich is the third of 20 Carl’s Jr. restaurants that family-owned retailer, Bansal Group, has earmarked for Queensland following the successful launch of Redbank Plains in January and Pimpama in July.

Stores in Rothwell, Eagleby and Hope Island are expected to open before Christmas.

Group general manager Shawn Kerr said it was a fast-growing and increasingly dynamic area.

“We’re excited to bring Carl’s Jr. to the people of West Ipswich, and our burgers will very quickly speak for themselves,” said Kerr.

The West Ipswich store will open on the corner of Brisbane and Hooper Streets. The company believes it will be there long-term.

Carl’s Jr.’s success in Australia has been seen with launches in NSW and South Australia cracking the top five for the best-performing stores globally in their first month of operation.

The Bansal Group will open at least another six Carl’s Jr. restaurants in Queensland by the end of 2019, with locations slated for Slacks Creek, Berrinba, Townsville and Rockhampton.
