Tasting Australia 2026 program returns

Tasting Australia

The full program for this year’s Tasting Australia presented by Journey Beyond has been released, with tickets now on sale ahead of the event’s return from 8 to 17 May.

More than 150 events will take place across South Australia, bringing chefs, makers and producers together across metropolitan and regional locations.

“Tasting Australia remains a highlight of our state’s events calendar, and each year we are proud to showcase South Australia’s world class produce to visitors from across the country,” said minister for multicultural affairs of South Australia Zoe Bettison.

The 2026 program includes international participants such as American sommelier André Hueston Mack, Michelin starred Spanish chef Nieves Barragán Mohacho aboard The Ghan, and Martin Kjäll from Stockholm restaurant AG, who will cook alongside Jake Kellie. Hong Kong bar Bar Leone will also take over Adelaide venue Honeydripper on Frome Street in collaboration with Never Never.

An Australian exclusive will see European dining collective Punk Royale host two events in Adelaide. Local chef Poh Ling Yeow will also feature in the program, with a focus on Southeast Asian flavours.

Town Square will return to Victoria Square Tarntanyangga as a central hub for the festival. A new addition this year is Good Neighbour presented by Mitolo Family Farms, a neighbourhood style wine bar within Town Square.

The program also introduces a new Club Series, inviting guests into Adelaide cultural clubs for collaborative dining experiences between visiting chefs and local resident cooks.

Tasting Australia follows a broader calendar of festivals and events held in Adelaide and across the state in 2026, alongside increased international flight capacity into the city.

“The 2026 program is shaped around the shared experiences that unite family, friends, food, beverage and the land we call home,” said Duncan Welgemoed.

“This year, our most loved hospitality venues are implemented more than ever before and new elements such as Good Neighbour presented by Mitolo Family Farms in Town Square will showcase the creativity and excellence of our industry.

“Tasting Australia continues to spotlight the people who make South Australia such an extraordinary place, and I look forward to sharing the very best our state has to offer in May.”
