Taylor Wines awarded gold medals at international wine shows

An Australian wine company has been awarded three gold medals from two international wine shows – the 2010 International Wine Challenge and the 2010 Decanter World Wine Awards, in London.

Taylors Wines, a family winery from the Clare Valley, collected three gold medals from the two wine competitions.

Australia overall was awarded 67 gold medals at the 2010 International Wine Challenge, which was the second highest number of gold medals for one country behind France. Taylors was awarded a gold medal for the 2009 Taylors Estate Riesling.

Meanwhile, only 2.86 per cent of the 10,983 wines that entered the 2010 Decanter World Wine Awards was awarded a gold medal and this included Taylors 2009 Jaraman Riesling and Taylors 2008 Jaraman Shiraz.

In addition to winning gold medals at both the International Wine Challenge and the Decanter World Wine Awards, Taylors Wines also won gold for the 2008 Taylors Shiraz, 2008 Jaraman Chardonnay, 2005 St Andrews Cabernet Sauvignon and 2005 St Andrews Riesling at the 2010 Concours Mondial de Bruxelles.
