Taylors Wines praised for packaging innovation

Taylors Wines’ Tateham’s Waterhole range and Wine-In-Tube product have received a number of packaging awards in recent weeks, including one at the 2014 Worldstar World Packaging  Organisation.

The South Australian-based wine label won two gold medals at the 2013 Printing Industry Craftsmanship Awards in South Australia and the Northern Territory; a gold medal at the Australian Packaging Design Awards in Melbourne; and an award in the Beverages category of the 2014 Worldstar World Packaging Organisation.

“We’ve spent quite some time working on our packaging in recent years and are thrilled to receive this recognition. Receiving recognition for these great products is a very exciting set of news for the team at Taylors. We are enormously proud,” said Taylors Wine managing director, Mitchell Taylor.

Taylors Wines was the only brand to be awarded more than one gold medals at this year’s Printing Industry Craftsmanship Awards, where the brand claimed gold in both the Flexographic Printing and Labels (any process other than offset) categories, for its Taylors Tateham’s Waterhole range.

It was Taylors’ Wine-in-Tube product that took out a gold medal at the Australian Packaging Design Awards in Melbourne, as well as earning praise at the Worldstar Packaging Organisation, where it was the only finished wine product entry to be selected as a 2014 Worldstar winner.

The Wine-in-Tube product is a 60ml glass tube, flacon swealed with an aluminium cap and designed to promote consumer sampling and tasting
