The coffee expo for start-ups to industry leaders

Coffee expo

After a record-breaking 2025 event, stand space for the Melbourne International Coffee Expo (MICE) is filling fast ahead of its return in March 2026.

Scheduled for 26 to 28 March 2026 at the Melbourne Convention and Exhibition Centre, MICE is set to deliver another successful showcase of Australia’s vibrant coffee culture.

Following the success of MICE2025, exhibitor demand is already soaring. Businesses are racing to secure their spot in a competitive market filled with both returning and new exhibitors.

According to general manager events at Prime Creative Media, Siobhan Rocks, this year’s expo delivered overwhelmingly positive feedback, particularly from exhibitors who reported strong engagement and commercial success.

One of the most valued aspects of the event goes beyond flashy displays and immediate connections — long-term thinking and meaningful conversations are key outcomes.

Take sustainability, for example. Huskee’s reusable cup system, which reduces thousands of single-use cups, sparked important conversations around environmental responsibility in the coffee sector. Initiatives like this will return in 2026 to help propel the industry towards waste reduction and more sustainable practices.

The next event will build on several popular features introduced in 2025. For instance, MICE2026 will once again include the Roasters Playground, which offered live tastings, coffee competitions, and a platform for smaller roasters. By creating direct interaction between attendees and roasters, it became a standout feature described by many as a highlight of the show.

Workshops, latte art showcases, and sensory experiences delivered by sponsors such as MILKLAB also played a crucial role in maintaining the show’s energetic atmosphere.

The immersive nature of the event, coupled with creative activations, drew consistent crowds throughout the expo.

MICE2026 will continue to serve as a platform for everyone from emerging start-ups to industry leaders, reaching a broad and engaged audience of professionals and enthusiasts. With its growing profile and reputation, Rocks noted that the success of this year’s event has made the 2026 edition one of the most anticipated yet.

“It’s clear the coffee industry sees MICE as a vital platform to connect, innovate and grow,” she said.

With floor space selling quickly, businesses are encouraged to book early to secure a spot. The current pace of bookings suggests the show floor will sell out well ahead of time, especially as many 2025 participants have already rebooked.

Those wishing to secure a stand can visit the MICE website to launch a new product, showcase innovation, or reconnect with the coffee community. MICE2026 offers the opportunity to put brands centre stage in one of the world’s most dynamic coffee markets.
