Australian Grape & Wine and Wine Australia will be present for the launch of the One Grape & Wine Sector Plan which is set to take place on Friday 2 August at the National Wine Centre of Australia.
Representatives of the Australian wine sector with an interest in export and marketing opportunities, research and innovation activities, regulation and market access, and market insights are encouraged to attend.
This includes, but is not limited to, exporters, grape growers, wine producers, wine associations, wine marketers and wine communicators.
The centrepiece of the day surrounds the launch of the One Grape & Wine Sector Plan, a high-level directional strategy for the entire sector.
The plan ultimately hopes to address the challenges that the sectors face in aid of building a stronger, more resilient, and sustainable grape and wine sector for the future.
It maps out how to make the most difference in responding to recent challenges and how to get the sector back on track to achieve the long-term goals as set out in Vision 2050.
The development of the One Grape & Wine Sector Plan was in consultation with people from across the breadth of the wine sector to set priorities and identify ways to work together towards a common goal.
The consultation identified the strategic priorities on which the sector wants to focus its energy, efforts and resources.
The plan is intended to empower a network of regional and state associations and service bodies to align collective activities and investments – to refocus the sector’s combined efforts for the next six years.
Following the launch, Wine Australia will give an update of the current state of play for the Australian wine sector, an Exporter Update, and the initiatives under market development, regulation and research and innovation for 2024-25.
After the update, a networking lunch will be provided where attendees are welcome to bring a bottle of wine to showcase for others attending the networking lunch.
A live stream will be available to view on Wine Australia’s website if you are unable to attend in person.
The event will kick off at 10 am (Registration from 9.30 am) ACDT in the Hickinbotham Room of the National Wine Centre of Australia.
This event is free but bookings are essential.
