A few weeks ago we covered one of the deep-fried monstrosities (or, ‘foods’) appearing at the Iowa State Fair, but that was just scratching the shiny, oil-slicked surface of crazy foods that come out of American state fairs, stick usually included.
Every year it seems that outlets at fairs across the country come up with something new and even more inappropriately-suited for the deep fryer, but American ingenuity is a magical thing, making the impossible deliciously possible.
Last year Texas upped the game by introducing deep-fried beer, and this year one entrepreneur took the classic kid’s drink to another level with deep-fried Kool-Aid.
