Toxic Waste Nuclear Sludge deemed unsafe by FDA

Candy bars manufactured in Pakistan called Toxic Waste Nuclear Sludge have been withdrawn from sale in the US, following an announcement by the Food and Drug Administration.

The Indianapolis-based Circle City Marketing and Distributing agency, which represents the candy bars in the US has requested a voluntary recall of all flavours in the Nuclear Sludge range, after it was discovered that the Cherry Flavoured version of the chewy bar contained an unsafe level of lead.

There has been no recorded case of illness as a consequence of eating the products, though he FDA has claimed that the elevated lead content could be harmful to small children, infants and pregnant women.
