To mark the illustrious occasion of World Caramel Day on 5 April, award-winning distillery Underground Spirits Australia will be serving its unique Vodka with Caramel spirit at a decadent industry event at Sydney’s brand-new luxury hotel, the Little National on Clarence Street.

The event is the perfect excuse to signal to industry movers and shakers, from stockists and retailers to influencers and cocktail aficionados, that the Canberra-based Underground Spirits distillery is expanding into the national drinks market.

Not only will the event showcase Underground Spirits’ delicious Vodka with Caramel, it will unveil its Caramel Martini Espresso now on tap at the Little National, and its new Limited Edition Coronation Gin for the King, all in the spirit of innovation.

Underground Spirits Australia is well known in Canberra for its premium vodka and craft gins made from high-quality local ingredients, including pristine water from the Snowy Mountains.

While the base spirit is made using traditional distilling methods, Underground Spirits has developed an innovative sub-zero, sub-micron cryofiltration process to eliminate impurities and create the ultimate smooth finish for its vodka and gin.

At the World Caramel Day event Little National will be serving up Vodka with Caramel-inspired canapes, including Slow Cooked Pork Belly with Caramel Vodka, Chilli, Ginger & Shallots; Caramel Vodka Drunken King Prawns; Brulee Tart; and a spectacular Chocolate Tart With Caramel Vodka Foam. Paired with Caramel Espresso Martinis on tap, this menu will ensure you’re sweet enough this World Caramel Day.

Underground Caramel Espresso Martini Recipe

45ml Underground Spirits Caramel Vodka 30ml Espresso 20ml Underground Vodka Measure everything into a cocktail shaker. Fill shaker with plenty of ice.

Shake hard for at least 20 seconds.

Double strain into a chilled coupe glass.

The three beans for garnish represent health, wealth and good times ahead.
