v2food has announced the launch of ready-made meals in Woolworths stores across the nation, entering a new product category and furthering its product innovation.
Available in four varieties – v2 Spaghetti Bolognese, v2 Lasagne, v2 Penne Bake and v2 Chilli Con Carne – the new products mark v2food’s fourth plant-based protein innovation after the success of the company’s v2mince, v2burger, v2sausage, the launch of v2 pork mince in Asia, and most recently, the line of crumbed-chicken products launched in March. It also marks v2food’s debut into the ready-made meals product category.
During the pandemic, Australians’ appetite for convenience increased with the uptake of meal-kits. Observing this market change, v2food’s food scientists identified four classic dishes and developed plant-based alternatives, replicating the texture, taste, and smell of the meals loved by families across the country. Now, consumers have the perfect solution for a hassle free midweek meal, instead of wasting time deciding what’s for dinner.
Sweetening the deal is the positive impact Australian consumers create by switching to a plant-based meat option – a simple but powerful measure. If an Australian family of four switched from beef to v2 bolognese just once a week, they could save annual greenhouse gas emissions the equivalent of driving their family car 15,000km.

The ready-made meals are available across Woolworths locations nationwide at a RRP of AU$9.00 for 350g.
