Vic’s Meat enters exclusive supply agreement Greenvale Farm Heritage Pork

Australian meat and wholesale distributor, Vic’s Premium Quality Meat (VPQM) has entered into an exclusive supply agreement with Greenvale Farm Heritage Pork.

Known for their genuine free range pork, Anthony and Amanda Kumnick of Greenvale Farm Heritage Pork are passionate about raising genuine free range pork on their 1,100 acre property.

Mr Kumnick said that the new agreement with VPQM will add value to Greenvale Farm Heritage Pork and enable the company to continue to innovate with different breeding and feeding techniques.

“This agreement will allow us to concentrate on further developing our enterprise and adding more innovation, such as taking our trial of acorn fed pork to the next level and also exploring more feeding, growing and breeding regimes that will further enhance an already exceptional product.”

Anthony Kumnick explains that genuine free range farming is not only better for the animals, but also produces a far better tasting product.

“Heritage breeds have superior flavour for two reasons, they are slower growing, giving them more time to create flavour and as they are genuine free range pigs the muscles get a lot more use doing what pigs naturally do; running around and digging in the pastures,” he said.

Anthony Puharich, CEO of VPQM  said that the supply agreement with Greenvale Farm Heritage Pork fits with the company’s mission to work with Australia’s best producers.

“We are determined to work with the best producers and suppliers in Australia. We understand the importance of long-term partner relationships that link exceptional produce with the country’s best food service providers.”
