Westward launches limited-edition Bridgeport collaboration in Australia

Westward

Westward, an American producer of single malt whiskey, has announced the launch of its popular Westward American Two Malts BridgePort Brewing Co collaboration in Australia.

The limited-edition whiskey, previously only available for purchase in Westward’s hometown in Portland, Oregon, marks the brand’s first collaboration where the distillers have turned an iconic brewery’s recipe into one of the brand’s whiskeys.

Brewed alongside the BridgePort team using a clone of their Kingpin Red Ale, which boasts a relatively high rye content, the result is a complex and warm expression that is perfect for winter.

The collaborative project, driven by Westward lead distiller Miles Munroe, highlights Westward’s dedication to the whiskey brewing process. Together with founder and master distiller Christian Krogstad, and partner and distillery operations manager Andrew Tice, they have reimagined the production of Westward’s bold and robust whiskeys.

“Many of the Westward team are ex-brewers and Oregon is one of the most iconic beer-producing regions in the world,” Munroe said.

“So, the Westward American Two Malts BridgePort Brewing Co Limited Edition was born from our love of beer and our proud brewing roots.”

Imported and distributed by Think Spirits in Australia, Westward American Two Malts BridgePort Brewing Co (100 proof – 50 per cent ABV) will be available from select retailers, including Cambridge Cellars for RRP $170.
