Women in manufacturing program

Apics NSW will once again be delivering a NSW Government Stepping Up Program to assist women in manufacturing.

The program, which includes both mentoring and course based-instruction, has been designed to meet the specific needs of women managing manufacturing concerns or those who manage manufacturing departments.

The program, which runs in and around Western Sydney, focuses on improving skills in operations and logistics management through workshops, site visits, classroom teaching and one-on-one mentoring.

Each participant is matched to an appropriate mentor and meets regularly with them over the eight months of the program.

Benefits to participating companies include:

  • Obtaining an understanding an appreciation of modern operations and supply chain management, concepts and practices;
  • Improving your own operations through the application of newly acquired knowledge and skills;
  • Building a strong network of manufacturing professionals.
