Woolworths helps deliver Australian value this Christmas

Seasonal favourites such as the Woolworths half leg ham, WA rock lobster, cooked Australian tiger prawns, Woolworths 500 grams pavlova base, Maggie Beer gravy, and entertaining essentials like Woolworths brie cheese, mixed nuts, and more will be at the same price or less than they were at Christmas last year

This Christmas, Woolworths is launching inflation-busting value in-store and online to give customers certainty on the price of their festive food and entertaining essentials.

Seasonal favourites such as the Woolworths half leg ham, WA rock lobster, cooked Australian tiger prawns, Woolworths 500 grams pavlova base, Maggie Beer gravy, and entertaining essentials like Woolworths brie cheese, mixed nuts, and more will be at the same price or less than they were at Christmas last year.

150 products have also had their Prices Dropped for Christmas at Woolworths, including popular frozen whole turkey, stuffing mix, apple sauce, chips and Bundaberg soft drinks.

The offers begin on 2 November 2022 in-store and online and will run until 27 December 2022.

Woolworths Supermarkets managing director Natalie Davis said, “We know this year more than ever, customers are looking for great value when it comes to entertaining their friends and family during the festive season.

“As Today’s Fresh Food People, we are focused on ensuring we have the best Australian fresh products available for the Christmas table, and that customers can get their Woolies Worth as they manage the impacts of the rising cost of living on their budgets.

“Through our price commitment to hold last year’s price on customers’ favourite Christmas classics including Woolworths half leg ham and pavlova, as well as adding 150 seasonal essentials to our Christmas prices dropped program, we hope that it will help all our customers focus on the little moments that make the season special to them.”

Woolworths has also committed that the price of its Odd Bunch range of 100 per cent Australian fruit and vegetables will be at least 20 per cent less than the standard shelf price of equivalent produce lines. The Odd Bunch has helped customers save on more than 250,000 tonnes of great tasting fruit and vegetables since 2015.

The announcement is in addition to the current Prices Dropped for Spring program (valid through to the end of November), and Woolworths’ Price Freeze on almost 200 Low Price everyday essentials, as announced in June.

The Price Freeze means Woolworths has committed that the prices on these essential trolley items will remain at the same price as they were in June, until 31 December.
