Woolworths has launched its fundraiser, The Small Change Appeal, to assist local children’s charities over the next three weeks.
“We’re incredibly proud to partner with Australian children’s charities and support the vital services they provide in local communities,” said Woolworths Supermarkets’ director of stores, Jeanette Fenske.
Customers shopping at their local Woolworths supermarket or Metro store can either purchase a $2 token or make a donation at checkout. All funds will be donated to:
- Variety, the Children’s Charity (NSW, ACT, SA and NT stores).
- The Children’s Hospital Foundation (QLD & Northern NSW).
- Good Friday Appeal (VIC).
- Telethon (WA).
- St Giles (TAS).
The Small Change Appeal will help these charities enhance grants and programs, improve access to essential services, fund hospital equipment, and support early education initiatives.
“Some of our partnerships span over 30 years, and it’s inspiring to witness the incredible support from our customers,” added Fenske.
“It’s truly a testament to the power of small change making a huge difference for local children and their families.”
Fenske continued, saying that the store team – many of whom are parents, aunts, uncles, or grandparents themselves – go above and beyond during this appeal.
“Their generosity, whether it’s hosting BBQs, baking treats, or volunteering their time, fuels even greater support for these vital organisations,” she said.
Woolworths’ charity fundraiser will run until 22nd April 2025.
